SPOTTED in De Volkskrant - Thor Braun, a student at School of Acting, feels right at home at ArtEZ. The Oogappels actor talks about it in his interview with De Volkskrant, held at ArtEZ Academy for Theatre & Dance in Arnhem.
How it feels in Arnhem
Thor talks about the building where he studies: "The glass ceiling is at ground level outside, and a small moat has been created around it with swimming frogs. The building has a unique acoustics: you can hear each other well here. A friend in my class often sings. When he enters, I can hear him on the other side of the building because it echoes everywhere. You can also hear the frogs outside the ceiling croaking inside. I love that sound."
"The building is incredibly light and spacious, even though it's completely underground. It's actually a large basement, but it usually doesn't feel that way."

School of Acting
At the ArtEZ School of Acting, you will be trained to become an independent actor for theatre, film and television. The focus is on the craft of acting and creating. There is also a strong focus on reflection, and on research into your own artistry. Even while on the acting course, you will be at the heart of professional practice. You will be taught by professional actors and directors and work with directors and creators from the field.
People from the film industry sometimes don't understand why I chose to go to School of Acting, but I really want to learn more about the profession."
ArtEZ Academy of Theatre & Dance
The ArtEZ Academy of Theatre and Dance combines the various preparatory courses and the five Bachelor's programs in the field of dance and theatre at ArtEZ in Arnhem and Zwolle. The courses within the academy are characterized by education aimed at the individual. The development and strengthening of one's artistic and cultural signature is reflected in all programs. Innovation, entrepreneurship and research are also themes that characterize the theater and dance courses.
